Ignite Consumer Health Data Privacy Notice

Effective date: [TO BE SET]. Version 1.0 (draft). Last revised 17 August 2026.

[DRAFTING NOTE — delete before publishing] Washington's My Health My Data Act requires this notice to be a separate document, reached by its own link on the home page of igniteapp.co, and requires that it contain only what the statute calls for. Do not merge it into the main Privacy Policy, do not add marketing copy, and do not link it only from the footer — the statute expects a prominent, dedicated home-page link. Confirm final wording with counsel.

Who this notice is for

Ignite, LLC ("Ignite", "we", "us") provides matchmaking and coaching services through the Ignite mobile app and igniteapp.co. This notice explains how we handle consumer health data.

Washington's My Health My Data Act and Nevada's consumer health data law give residents of those States specific protections. We apply this notice to every Ignite member, wherever in the United States you live, rather than only to residents of those States.

Our general privacy practices are described in the Ignite Privacy Policy. This notice covers consumer health data only, and it controls if the two ever conflict on that subject.

What consumer health data we collect

Ignite is not a health service and we do not ask about your health. There is one place in the app where the information you may choose to give us can be consumer health data: date planning.

When your Matchmaker plans a date for you, you can choose to tell us about:

We collect these as free text that you write yourself. We do not ask for a diagnosis, we do not ask for medical records, and we do not ask you to explain why. Every one of these fields is optional and you can use every part of Ignite without completing any of them.

We do not collect any other category of consumer health data. We do not collect data about medications, treatments, diagnoses, medical conditions, symptoms, tests, health measurements, reproductive or sexual health, gender-affirming care, bodily functions, precise location that could indicate an attempt to acquire health services, or any health inference derived from other data.

Where we get it

Only from you. You type it into the date-planning screens in the Ignite app. We do not buy it, we do not receive it from data brokers or other apps, we do not derive or infer it from anything else you do on Ignite, and we do not collect it from your device.

Why we collect it and how we use it

We use consumer health data for one purpose: so that the Matchmaker you have chosen can plan a date that works for you.

We do not use it to decide whether to accept you, to rank or score you, to match you with anyone, to train any model, to build a profile of you, or for any form of marketing or advertising.

Who we share it with

Your Matchmaker, and no one else. With your separate consent, the consumer health data you provide is shown to the Matchmaker whose pool you have joined, so that they can plan around it.

We also use service providers that store data on our behalf and that could therefore hold this information in the course of running our systems:

Category of recipientWhoWhat they do with it
The Matchmaker you choseAn individual Matchmaker whose pool you have joinedPlans a date that accommodates your needs
Hosting, database and file storage providerSupabaseStores the data on our behalf, under contract, on our instructions only
Website hosting providerNetlifyHosts igniteapp.co; does not receive consumer health data

We do not share consumer health data with any other member of Ignite, with any Coach, with advertisers, with data brokers, with analytics providers, with our email provider, or with any affiliate — Ignite has no parent, subsidiary or affiliated companies.

We share it with law enforcement or another authority only where we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to protect someone's life or physical safety, and we will tell you unless we are legally prohibited from doing so.

We never sell it

Ignite does not sell consumer health data, and we will never ask you to sign an authorization to sell it. Selling consumer health data without a signed valid authorization is prohibited, and selling it is not part of our business.

Your rights

You have the right to:

How to exercise them. In the Ignite app under Settings → Privacy, or by emailing privacy@igniteapp.co with "Consumer health data" in the subject line.

How long we take. We respond to a request within 45 days. If we need more time we will tell you within those 45 days and may take up to a further 45 days. A deletion request is completed within 30 days, including instructing our service providers to delete their copies, and we will confirm when it is done.

If we say no. You may appeal by emailing privacy@igniteapp.co with "Consumer health data appeal" in the subject line. We will respond within 45 days. If we deny your appeal you may contact the Washington State Attorney General, the Nevada Attorney General, or the Attorney General of your own State. Washington residents also have a private right of action under the Consumer Protection Act.

How long we keep it

We keep consumer health data only as long as we need it to plan the dates you have asked us to plan. It is deleted when you delete it, when you withdraw consent, when you leave the Matchmaker's pool, or when your Ignite account is erased — whichever happens first.

How we protect it

Consumer health data is stored in the same protected systems as the rest of your Ignite data: access is enforced at the database level so that only you, the Matchmaker you chose, and the small number of Ignite staff who need it for safety, support, legal or security reasons can reach it; it is encrypted in transit and at rest; and administrative access is logged. Section 17 of the Ignite Privacy Policy describes our security practices in full.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we handle consumer health data, we will update this notice, change its version and effective date, and — because the law requires it — obtain your consent again before collecting, using or sharing consumer health data for any purpose not described in the version you agreed to.
