Ignite Terms of Service

Effective date: 10 October 2026. Version 1.1.

Ignite App LLC 6635 S Dayton St Ste 310 Greenwood Village, CO 80111 legal@igniteapp.co

1. What these Terms are

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are the agreement between you and Ignite App LLC ("Ignite", "we", "us") covering your use of the Ignite mobile application, www.igniteapp.co, and the services we provide through them (together, the "Services").

Our Privacy Policy explains what we do with your Personal Data and is a separate document. These Terms explain the rules of using Ignite and who is responsible for what. The Acceptable Use Policy at Section 9 forms part of these Terms.

By creating an account or using the Services you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

2. Who can use Ignite

The Services are for individuals who are 18 years of age or older and who currently reside in the United States, meaning any of the 50 States, the District of Columbia, or a U.S. territory.

When you create an account you confirm that both are true. We record that confirmation, with the date. If either stops being true, you must stop using the Services and notify us in writing at help@igniteapp.co.

We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to use Ignite. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we lock the account and close it. We then delete the associated information, unless legal or law enforcement action requires us to preserve it — in which case we delete it once that preservation obligation or investigation ends. Our Privacy Policy, Section 21, explains our retention and deletion periods in full.

3. What Ignite is, and what it is not

Ignite is a marketplace. We connect Clients with independent Matchmakers and Coaches. We provide the software those relationships run on: profiles, applications, introductions, messaging, scheduling and payment handling.

We are not a party to the relationship between you and a provider. A Matchmaker's or Coach's services are provided by that person, not by Ignite. They set their own prices, decide who they work with, and decide who to introduce to whom.

We do not conduct criminal background checks. We do not screen members against sex offender registries or criminal records, and we do not verify that anyone is who they say they are. We intend to introduce identity verification for paid providers after our Beta period, and we will say so clearly when we do. Until then, and after, you should not assume that any member has been vetted.

We do not provide medical services of any kind, including medical counselling. Some Matchmakers and Coaches may display professional credentials, but no member of Ignite is permitted to engage in medical or clinical practice through the Services. Matchmaking and coaching on Ignite are non-medical supportive services (see Section 6). Engaging in medical or clinical practice through Ignite is a breach of the Acceptable Use Policy at Section 9, and we may permanently close the account of any member who does so and refuse them future access to Ignite.

We do not guarantee outcomes. We do not promise that you will be matched, that an introduction will lead anywhere, or that anyone you meet will be suitable, honest, available, or safe.

4. Your account

You may hold one account. Keep your information accurate and your password to yourself, and do not let anyone else use your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

If you believe someone else has access to your account, change your password and tell us promptly at help@igniteapp.co. Where we suspect an account has been accessed by someone other than its owner, we may lock it until we can confirm who is signing in, under Section 10. How we protect your Personal Data, and the limits of what any system can promise, are described in our Privacy Policy at Section 17 (data security).

5. Matchmakers and Coaches are independent

Matchmakers and Coaches are independent providers, not employees, agents or partners of Ignite. They exercise their own professional judgment.

They set their own prices, their own availability, and their own criteria for accepting clients. Ignite does not direct how they do their work.

Cancellation and refund terms are the one thing Ignite sets rather than the provider, and Section 11 explains them. That is so every Client is offered the same terms and nobody has to compare one provider's refund policy against another's, and it is how Ignite meets the cancellation rules that apply to dating and matchmaking services. Accepting those terms is a condition of offering services on Ignite. A provider may not offer a shorter cancellation period, or a narrower refund right, than Section 11 gives you. A provider may always choose to be more generous — including by refunding you after the cancellation period has passed, case by case — but that is their decision to make and not something you can require of them.

6. Coaching is not therapy, and matchmaking is not counselling

Coaching on Ignite is non-medical, non-clinical and non-professional. It is not therapy, psychotherapy, counselling, psychiatric care, medical advice, legal advice or financial advice, and Coaches on Ignite are not acting as licensed professionals even if they hold a licence elsewhere.

Nothing said by a Coach or a Matchmaker is a substitute for advice from a qualified professional. If you are in crisis or need care, please contact a licensed professional or, in an emergency, 911.

7. Meeting people

Introductions made through Ignite may lead to meeting someone in person. That carries risk, and you are responsible for your own safety. If you believe you or anyone else is in danger, call 911 immediately. Reporting something to Ignite is not a substitute for calling emergency services.

We suggest: meet in public the first time, tell someone where you are going, arrange your own transport, and stop if something feels wrong.

Ignite does not supervise, attend or vet meetings between members. We are not responsible for the conduct of any member, whether on Ignite or off it.

If someone behaves in a way that concerns you, report it through the app. Reports in our most serious categories cause an immediate, automatic restriction on the reported account before any staff member has reviewed it; that process is described in our Privacy Policy at Section 14.

Where we are required to, and where a request is valid, we share information with law enforcement, and we report illegal activity to them and to organisations such as the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. Our Privacy Policy, Section 12, explains who we share Personal Data with and on what basis.

8. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you put on Ignite — your photos, your profile, your posts, your messages.

Ignite's rights to that content depend on where you put it.

8.1 Profile photos and private communications

Your profile photos, and anything you send directly to another member — messages, any photos or media sent in a conversation, and the text, answers, screenshots and photos you provide to a Matchmaker or Coach for a quick service — are private. Ignite's licence to this content is limited to what running the Services requires: to store it, and to display it only to the person or people you have chosen to share it with (a match; for photos, a Matchmaker or Coach acting on your behalf; or the provider you ordered a quick service from, as described in the Privacy Policy). This licence does not include any right to use this content for marketing, promotion, AI training, or any purpose beyond delivering it to its intended recipient, and it is not sublicensable or transferable. It ends when you delete the content, the conversation, or your account, except for copies we are required to keep (see the Privacy Policy, Section 21).

Messages you have sent, and work you have delivered for a quick service, stay in the recipient's account, in the same way a sent email stays in theirs. When your account is erased they are no longer shown as coming from you.

8.2 Feed and other public posts

Content you choose to post somewhere on Ignite designed to be seen by members generally — the Feed, or any similar space — rather than sent to a specific person, is public within Ignite. For that content, you give Ignite a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable and transferable licence to host, store, reproduce, display and distribute it for the purpose of operating and promoting the Services, and to keep backup copies. It ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we are required to keep (see the Privacy Policy, Section 21).

You confirm you have the right to post what you post, and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.

9. Acceptable Use Policy

This section forms part of these Terms.

You must not:

Some of these are absolute. Content involving minors is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and to law enforcement, as U.S. law requires. Suspected trafficking or commercial sexual solicitation is reported to law enforcement and, where applicable, the National Human Trafficking Hotline, and results in immediate account restriction under Section 10.

10. Suspension, restriction and removal

We may restrict, suspend or end your account where you have breached these Terms, where we reasonably suspect you have, or where we need to act to protect the safety of members or the public.

A restriction can be immediate and automatic. A report in our most serious categories suspends your ability to message and to be introduced before a person has reviewed it. We tell you when this happens, we review it within 10 business days, and you may ask a person to look at the decision. Our Privacy Policy, Section 14, sets this out in full.

What a restriction leaves open. If you are a Client, you can still message your own Matchmaker or Coach during a restriction. If you are a Matchmaker or Coach, a restriction pauses all of your messaging and your ability to propose introductions, although your Clients can still write to you.

Where we remove an account for cause, we keep a minimal record so that it cannot be recreated. That record is a one-way transformation of your email address rather than the address itself. If you close your account yourself, we keep no such record — leaving is not a reason to be kept on a list.

You may close your account at any time in the app. Some information is kept afterwards; the Privacy Policy, Section 21, explains what and for how long.

11. Fees, cancellation and refunds

Ignite does not currently charge for the Services. No payment processing is in place, and no fees are due under these Terms as at the effective date above. This section governs paid Services from the date we introduce them, and we will tell you before that happens.

How payment will work. When paid Services begin, you pay Ignite at the point you join a Matchmaker's pool. We hold that payment and release it to your Matchmaker after one month of service, less our fee. Quick services are paid differently — see Quick services below. If you cancel within the period described below, your refund comes from the money we are holding — you do not need to recover it from your Matchmaker.

Where to send a cancellation notice. Send it to Ignite at the address on the first page of these Terms, or to legal@igniteapp.co. Ignite accepts cancellation notices on behalf of Matchmakers and Coaches, so you never need a provider's personal address, and providers are not required to publish one.

When paid Services are introduced:

Ending your relationship with a Matchmaker. You may end it at any time, and so may your Matchmaker. Ending is not permanent — you can apply to the same Matchmaker again later if you both want to, and doing so is a new engagement with its own three-business-day cancellation right and its own 24-month term. When you end a relationship we may ask you a short, optional set of questions about why; you can skip them, and skipping them has no effect on ending the relationship or on any refund. Your Matchmaker only ever sees those answers as counts across all of the Clients who have left them, never your individual answer. Our Privacy Policy explains this in Sections 8, 13 and 21.

Coaching carries the same rights. The cancellation right, the 24-month cap, the copy of what you agreed to and the refund mechanism above apply to a contract with a Coach on the same terms as a contract with a Matchmaker, whether or not the law treats coaching as a dating service.

Quick services. A quick service is a one-off piece of work from a Matchmaker or Coach that you can buy without joining their pool or roster: a profile review, a bio rewrite, a ranking of your photos, or suggested opening lines.

These rights are given to every member of Ignite wherever you live, not only where a State requires them.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may change these Terms. Each version carries a version number and an effective date, and we keep a record of which version you agreed to and when.

Where a change is material we will tell you — by email, in the app, or both — and ask you to acknowledge it before you carry on using the Services. Continuing to use Ignite after a change takes effect means you accept it.

13. Disclaimers

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any defect will be corrected.

We make no warranty about any member, Matchmaker or Coach — their identity, their character, their qualifications, their conduct, or their suitability for you.

14. Limitation of liability

Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited by law. That includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for gross negligence, for willful misconduct, and for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. Where a State's law does not permit a limitation we have written here, that limitation does not apply to you.

Subject to that, and to the fullest extent permitted by law:

We are not liable for the acts of other members. Matchmakers and Coaches are independent providers (Section 5), and other members are not under our control. What another person does — on Ignite, in a message, or in person — is their responsibility, not ours.

15. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold Ignite harmless from third-party claims to the extent they arise from: (a) your content, (b) your breach of these Terms, or (c) your negligent or willful misconduct in your use of the Services. This does not require you to indemnify Ignite for a claim arising from Ignite's own negligence or misconduct.

16. Disputes

Please read this section carefully. It affects how disputes between you and Ignite are resolved, and it includes a way to opt out.

16.1 Talk to us first

Most problems can be sorted out quickly. Before starting a formal dispute, please email legal@igniteapp.co describing the issue and what you would like done. We will do the same before bringing a claim against you. If we have not resolved it within 60 days, either of us may proceed.

16.2 Arbitration, unless you opt out

Except for the claims listed in Section 16.4, you and Ignite agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services will be resolved by binding individual arbitration, administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court.

Arbitration is less formal than a lawsuit. A neutral arbitrator decides the dispute, and the decision is final. You give up your right to a jury trial for claims covered by this section.

Ignite pays the arbitration filing and arbitrator fees for any claim of less than $10,000 that you bring, unless the arbitrator finds the claim was frivolous. You may choose to have the arbitration conducted by telephone, by written submission, or in person in the county where you live.

16.3 How to opt out

You can opt out of arbitration, and it does not affect anything else.

Email legal@igniteapp.co with the subject line "Arbitration opt-out", from the address on your account, within 30 days of first accepting these Terms. Include your name and username. That is all — you do not need to give a reason, and opting out will not affect your account, your use of Ignite, or how we treat you in any way.

If you opt out, disputes go to court as described in Section 16.5.

16.4 What arbitration never covers

Arbitration under this section does not apply to:

16.5 Class actions, and where court claims go

For claims subject to arbitration, you and Ignite each agree to bring claims only individually, and not as a plaintiff or class member in a class, collective or representative action. This waiver does not apply to the claims in Section 16.4.

For any claim not resolved in arbitration — because you opted out, because it falls under Section 16.4, or otherwise — these Terms are governed by the law of the State of Colorado, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the state and federal courts located in Colorado have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the United States, nothing here removes a right you have to bring a claim where you live if the law of your State gives you one.

17. General

Severability. If any part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.

No waiver. If we do not enforce something, that is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.

Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer ours in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.

Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Acceptable Use Policy at Section 9 and the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between us about the Services.
